Rush rejected by the NFL to buy the Rams. Poll of the day: Should Rush Limbaugh have been allowed to buy the St. Louis Rams?

Villains of the Day: Group of Florida teens who lit another boy on fire, burning 80% of his body, over $40 bucks.

Michael Jackson's first posthumously released single "This Is It" was actually not entirely his own creation. Song writer Paul Anka had to seek out the Jackson family to get credit and 50% of the profits from the single because he originally wrote the song.

Health care reform is one step closer to passage after what may have been the biggest hurdle was cleared yesterday. The Senate Finance Committee approved its long-awaited bill and even got Republican Olympia Snowe on board. Health insurance lobbyists are expected to step up the fight even more to derail passage of any final legislation. It's rumored that lobbyists are spending at least $1 million a day to kill it. Each house of congress must now combine all the plans into one bill for each chamber.

John Stewart is our Hero of the Day for his brilliant beat down of Fox News in last night's show. Stewart owns Fox in the clip by contrasting its lack of coverage of this week's gay rights protest in DC with Fox's hypocritical condemnation of the media for not making a bigger deal of the tea party and the 9/12 protests.

Quote of the Day:
The media's the most powerful entity on earth. They have the power to make the innocent guilty and to make the guilty innocent, and that's power. Because they control the minds of the masses.

Answer: because it wasn't a hate crime. Go to Wikipedia to learn more about what constitutes a hate crime. The black and white suspects in this heinous crime acted TOGETHER against the victim. This was not a hate crime in either the letter or the spirit of such laws. It was, however, a crime of unmitigated human depravity and ignorance. Incidents like this make me want to divorce myself from the human race.

  • @acourseinmiracles i blame mtv !!!! LOL

  • On the topic of Limbaugh, not supporting welfare and handouts does not make you a racist. Unfortunately people who never listen to Rush call him a racist because a news outlet with an opposite agenda disagrees with him.

  • One of the teens that helped set that boy on fire has been dismissed. His bro's are facing attempted murder charges and will be tried as adults.

  • Yes, I think the story was downplayed by local media and even at times blocked out on national TV reports by pre-taped local community announcements being inserted instead of continuation of reports about the story "next after the commercial" happening numerous times on cable TV, just accidentally? - maybe, but irritating having to hear junk of no use to most people instead of what we wanted to hear about.

  • Also, as for the two brothers involved being white, after looking at many photos of his family, IMO he looks to be part or all Hispanic. Most people here in S. Florida are not white. Yep ONE OF THE monsters tried to sell him a video game for $40 allegedly, (probably not worth that to add insult to injury) but was trying to justify his stealing the bike by that-(instead of just asking for the game back, if it was even true). What a sorry piece of work each of the monsters is, race regardless

  • For the record, Monster was angry cause victim reported to police that perp stole victim's father's $500 bike resulting in night spent in jail for perp, resulting in perp getting monster pals together to get even with victim, calling him a "SNITCH", per witnesses at scene as they doused him and set fire to him. I have read that at least one of the monsters had previously done this same monstrous torture to a small animal (someone's pet dog or cat?)

  • Nice vid

  • the media lied about rush limbaugh. they attributed to him several quotes he never made and they never apologized formally for it (cnn's sanchez do so informally on his twitter page)

Plus, if limbaugh is so racist, why does he have a black control room operator/sidekick, bo snerdley? Moreover, if he's a "racist", why does he have black intellectual walter williams guest-host his show?
