Can't really measure that in acres. When you're going, figure 1-2 MPH. It takes time to hook up connections. Probably need 2-3 backhoes to keep the plow 100% productive. With 1 backhoe, the plow sits a lot while you locate lines and prepare the starter hole. If you have to survey the ground with GPS or reset a laser, that takes time too. That plow probably put in about 6000 feet today, and with the muddy conditions, it was slow going.
Was this before the chain went through the windshield?
Is the hyd. motor that helps feed the tile at a set speed or does it vary?

Yes, before the windshield incident.
The hyd motor spins at a constant rate. It is spring loaded, so the wheel just spins on the tile if you're going slow.

@cowzgonemad Typically 3 to 5 feet deep. Whatever it takes to keep the water running down hill.
