  • Was this before the chain went through the windshield?

Is the hyd. motor that helps feed the tile at a set speed or does it vary?

  • Yes, before the windshield incident.

The hyd motor spins at a constant rate. It is spring loaded, so the wheel just spins on the tile if you're going slow.

  • Nice video. How many acres can you do in a day?

  • Can't really measure that in acres. When you're going, figure 1-2 MPH. It takes time to hook up connections. Probably need 2-3 backhoes to keep the plow 100% productive. With 1 backhoe, the plow sits a lot while you locate lines and prepare the starter hole. If you have to survey the ground with GPS or reset a laser, that takes time too. That plow probably put in about 6000 feet today, and with the muddy conditions, it was slow going.

  • @mx270a how deep are you putting it?

  • @cowzgonemad Typically 3 to 5 feet deep. Whatever it takes to keep the water running down hill.
