@jbalatutube Thanks for your swift reply. Can I say that there are two situations where the servo motor draws power. One is when it is idle, and one is when it is under load. So there are basically two static power consumption situations which means there is no dynamic power consumption that I can think of? Am i right or wrong? thanks again, really appreciate your help.

Does the servomotor consume electricity power when it is idle, as in not moving at all?

@chelvis7 Yes it is. It is fed by a pulse from the stamp board and the encoders would be constantly working to maintain that position while the pulse is coming in. Obviously it would consume more power when it is pushing something
