In November 2008, former NHLer Cliff Ronning took to the ice with a group of young hockey players during the intermission at the Vancouver Canucks Alumni vs. New Westminster Firefighter's Hockey game in New Westminster, B.C. Anxious for the opportunity to finally show the Canuck hockey fans his grit and toughness, the attention-seeking Ronning, while wearing his old familiar number 7, saw fit to trip a seven year old who was on a breakaway. Way to go Cliffy!
