If you want to install Vista on your current computer in place of xp you will lose all of your information on that computer. When you install Vista it will reformat your hard drive which deletes all of its current data. You are able to install most xp software on Vista and open xp related file types. Does this answer your question?

When you get vista home or ultimate on a cd, and your changing the engine of xp, will it delete the programs you allready have in it like any video games or text program because you've converted your speech from vista to xp for other users?
