This is a very respectful video. Nobody should be attacked for seeking meaning in life. No matter how far astray we may lead ourselves. I don't like those videos that make JWs seem like idiots. They're not. They're good people like most of us are. They're certainly not the only ones held captive by an organisation in this world!

Awesome video. Captives of a Concept was one of the books that really help be understand why the JWs really didn't have the truth. Once I no longer feard the "Organization", it was easy to exit the cult without fear of the outside.

I've been out for almost a year and it's wonderful.

Throughout Biblical history God has had a people for His Name. Who are Gods People today? I need to see the fruitage Christ taught being displayed in their lives; not a mix of pagan ideas and a pick and choose collection of Gods standards that suit and don't suit them. I ask because in the light that you measure the FDS saying they cannot possibly have been found favourable at the time Christ examined (due to their practice of Christmas etc after 1919) you tell me who is found acceptable to him?

False prophesies and dates, when they do not come to pass, turn people away from god and weaken their faith in god. The bible says interpretations belong to god. He doesnt say they belong to man.

You always need something to take the place of the WT. What if there is nothing? The God of the Bible is a genocidal, baby murdering, petty, jealous, unjust tyrant. Just read the OT.
The Bible was put together by 'Christendom' anyway. They are under 'Satan's control'. How do you know you got the full, correct message?

Giotto1967, by pagan ideas do you mean free masonry, pyramidology and astrology? I guess the fruitage of the Watchtower organization being pagan practices means that they are the ones that God has chosen for His Name. The tetragrammaton by the way isn't JHWH it is YHWH, Jehovah is of midevil origins. Would false prophecies also qualify as fruitage that you would say makes the society favourable? How about the many, many deaths resulting from medical prohibitions, vaccinations, transplants...
