Australian F-18 SuperHornets leaving Auckland Airport 26.03.2010. They arrived with a DC-10 Omega tanker and a C-17Sorry about the shakeiness,I had my phone on full zoom and any small movement was exaggerated.

Thanks,we were lucky that the Aviation Security werent too strict on us that day,I guess cause they too were buzzing out over them. The noise was absolutely incredible where we were,I only had my phone to record this but I wish I had my vid cam cause it would have recorded the entire noise.And yes that tanker did look very heavy..Air NZ open day coming up soon when their new 777-300's arrive,excellent oportunity to get up close to the runway especially when the A380 lands!

Yeah man, I am lucky enough to have a mate in avionics so Ill be one of his family that day too! I cant stop thinking about those f18s and I only saw them flying over Manukau(was working in Cavendish drive). I pulled over to the side of the road in awe, some other road users understood why and some had no idea - fair enough and each to their own. I can see what that does for an armies morale having that sort of hardware for support. As for security lucky in NZ a bit more down to earth, mostly.

LOL...When I first saw them fly over my house I thought "What the hell are they doing here" and when I saw the tanker and the C-17 follow I thought Obama was making a sneaky visit here before going to OZ..Im not a fan of war,but Id like to see more of these incredible machines and others fly into NZ..Simply "O" 4 Awesome"

TRUE!!! You guys are lucky!! Ozzy has got such a wicked arsenal!!! As for NZ...we're gone back to throwing stones at our enemies lol...Auckland airport came to a stand still when these birds flew away.. The noise was incredible!!!

I agree war sucks, and we are fortunate in this generation not to be too involved. All political dramas aside, Air force one(3 of them I think) is stunning, that would be cool to see the heavily modified 747(s). And the entourage. Most likely ten pimped out freight planes full of stretch hummers and navy seals on segways with uzis lol.
