OOoops I accidentally deleted your comment violingurrll , SO SORRY! But yes, you can do this on shorter hair for sure, I chopped mine into a bob and still use this same technique to wave my hair :)

no, you would just have to blow-dry it straight.

Depending on how tight the curl is. If you can blow dry your hair fairly straight it should work just fine, however, if you have tight curls, you can go over with a flat iron first.
