Our jouney begins in Williams Lake on Highway 20 . Over the Chilcotin plateau and south to the Chilcotin River and Farwell Canyon with one of the largest shifting sand dunes in Canada. Found horses that run wild , at Anahim Lake . From here we take the dreaded Hill to Hagensborg and eventually Bella Coola . A distance of 453 Kms from Williams Lake with mainly pavement and some packed dirt ,all in all a great road to drive with very few tourists .Just leave your RV at Anahim Lake if you are unsure of your vehicle pulling the hill , Bella Coola is an easy day trip from your home base . If you want to get away from the crowds this is the place to go .

  • Thanks so much for the memories. I lived in Nimpo Lake for almost two years in 1996/97 on Mary Kirner's lovely Nimpo Lake Resort.

One of the most wonderful experiences of my life & to this day I still can't figure out why I never returned.

A most beautiful part of the world!

  • its a nice little place i will not move from here

  • From Bella Coola to Williams Lake is a 5 hour road trip. 4 if you got a lead foot. 6 if your a road law abiding citizen... But generally it takes 5 hours to get to the Lake.
