  • Strange Meetings was a cool episode. I especially Like the bit where Ulysees 31 stood in for the first Ulysees and Bent the Bow. I think in the Original story of Ulysees, he did disguise himself as a begger and won the competition. I guess to best the suiters and Pretenders to his Throne. A REAL Sign of GREATNESS ^^

  • 5 thousand years? that can't be right

  • Odyssey is the name of the saga written by homer as ulysses' name in greek is Odysseus. His ship did not have a name as far as I know.

And not all gods were trying to punish him. Athena and Hermes were goda who were rooting for him and aided him in several occasions.

  • Actually the comparisons between this and Homer's original classic are fairly accurate.

Like in the original classics the Olympian gods were arrogant to the point of cruelty, and they did send many of the monsters that were faced in this series (albeit in different incarnations).

Ulysses ultimately prevailed, overcoming the gods will and arrived home to live happily ever after, proving that THE OLYMPIAN GODS MUST DIE!

  • Ulysees in the Original story was a Great warrior, with amazing fighting skills. And he was also a wise and Courageous King. An example for all men to live up to. I Don't hink i know the monsters Ulysees founght, alot of the monsters in Ulysees 31 are lifted from other Greek legends. But he always was expelled from his kingdom to fight a war somewhere, he went to Troy. and I think his ship was the Oddysee, which would carry him on the long journey home to his wife.
