Sounds like my brother when he was little, he thought he was the announcer and would put on shows for my parents and record himself making up games and talking about the make believe plays as they went along.. it was hilarious!

I don't know... I think it's probably because there are lots of rules, and the players have to follow those rules. There is an intrinsic order to thinkgs in sports that he can relate to, and it is all ruled by the clock, which he likes. Who knows. This video is several years old. You should see him now. He talks non-stop like a sportscaster through the whole thing. He plays Madden 09 on the Xbox 360 like a pro.
