Combining Dreadlocks with a Loose Hair Tool - a Dread Head Dread Vlog Short

This is a great technique for pulling a smaller dread into a larger dread to combine them. It's fast and the resulting dread looks great immediately. If you have a small dreadlock that is having trouble locking due to it's size this is a great fix.
-- One thing I didn't mention in the vid... If you want to do this technique but you don't have quite enough room to pull the dread in, you can make more room with a small knitting needle. Just slide it down the center of the dread to help it spread out a bit, then you'll be able to pull the other dread in without a problem =]

hey man love thwe video, love all the video's, got one question though, don't really know where else to ask, but how fast do dreads grow? i've had dreads for around a year, and due to the locking and maturing have done nothing but get shorter so far, i'm guessing from here on they will start to get longer but how much longer in what amount of time is my main question?

It's a long answer...but I'll sum it up. Your hair grows at the same speed it always did. It takes longer for the dreads to gain length because they hair goes back and forth and all around instead of just growing down. How much back and for is determined by the diameter of the dread so....thicker dreads take longer to gain length than thinner dreads. Thin dreads can grow as fast as 1/2" per month while thicker dreads might grow at a quarter of that speed.

@eldamus Correction....OUR DREADS ARE CONTROLLED BECAUSE WE WANT THEM THAT WAY. There are natural dreads, and man made dreads. Meaning we put them in instead of waiting, and decide what we want OUR DREADS to look like. Look man if you like natural dreads and thats how you grew yours, cool, nice way to go, more power to you. But don't knock on other dread heads because we control the look of our hair.

@ryangaston88 - What we all need to understand is that good looking dreads are a threat to the Lock Blockers. They r busily trying to convince their parents and the world at large that their unmaintained fuzzy dreads are somehow mystically superior and that they must remain fuzzy and unmaintained. The very presence of awesome looking dreadlocks leads to uncomfortable discussions (why don't u make ur dreads look nice honey?) Especially when you can pull the DreadHead site and see how easy it is.

as stupid as it sounds, im really glad to see a close-up of your dreads, just to see the loose hair and whatnot. im somewhat self conscious, not about the dreads, but about the loose hair, but now i realise that its not as bad as i first thought

all ya'll are dumb dreads and white guys just look dumb and trashy its just like a black guy havin a mohawk and wax builds up in locks and makes them look nasty and you should shampoo your hair because it strenghtens and makes it smell good and you should use locking gells and some super hold hair spray and it never looks matted
