You see me start from square one. I sample the drums and chop them. I make a drum pattern. I then look for a sample and put it into the MPC. In part two I make a 2 bar sequence after I chop the sample and assign it to the pads. I wanted to show you guys my workflow on the XL. Let me know what you think of the beat at the end.

  • you no what the fuck you doing good job

  • can you please explain at around 11 minutes how you sample a new sound froma record (your high hat) and then add it to your existing kick snare beat without losing yhour kick and snare? everytime i try to add another layer of a new sample (except its usually spread out over 16 pads) it erases the first thing i layed down. any help would be very very appreciated. thanks

  • what equipment are you use?

  • Keep up the good work man, i enjoyed watching this! Smooth beat!

  • Hey man this is brilliant. After trawling through far too many so called tutorials, finally a video that actually helps without adding further confusion! I've never used an MPC but after watching this I have an idea how it works and am a step closer to buying one. Huge thanks and respect!

  • @KnownAzTAF No problem Per. I appreciate your comments and support also brother.
