In order for citrus and oranges to get a longer shelf life, they need to be kept cool in a refrigerator. Get 14 to 20 days out of a freshly picked orange with help from the owner of a plant nursery in this free video on citrus fruits and gardening.

  • Thank you for that, in Southern Cal, I have two great orange trees, but I twist them off, sounds like that may be an error. Also, I have heard, when they are "ready" to shake the tree, is that incorrect?
