@snth3 Its not as simple as that. The processor won't have 4 separate cores. If you had 4 threads but 2 cores, running 4 separate apps would have each core running at have speed on 1 of the 4 apps, which frankly screams slowdown.

@onthenetgear Yes and no, it's a dual that can emulate a quad when needed too. Maybe they should just call it a tri-core.

It is very quiet. i can barely hear it. my playstation 3 is much louder, and they are sitting side by side

The i3 is not quad core. It's dual core.

Mine Cost 400$ Refurbished, 2.5GHz Quad Core and 4GB DDR2.Windows 7 Home Premium Mine Came Out Late Last Year. (SX2802-01)
This one is slightly better than mine.
