i like the recording. it kinda gives the sound an old'world charm, where the pitch is yet to be stabalized in all the music. this gives it that mystifying feature to the sound, which makes this peice even greater.

Yo creo los rusos contemporaneaos están en su contexto y Stavinsky marcó algo muy importante en el camino de la música y la armonía..el fué revolucionario en su composición y sigue siendo digno de un respeto grande. Además el señor, vaya...tán solo ve su personalidad.

when i first started playing the cello, it was a fun way to get out of class, but i didn't really love the instrument. i felt like we were glorified metronomes who rarely ever got to carry the melody.

one summer, while at music camp, the symphony played "Firebird Suite" (i was only in middle school at this point). at this point, i realized that it isn't about whether or not you have the melody, but if the music you're playing is good.
