POST-A-PALOOZA

[AN. Again, sorry for the wait. I am so scatter-brained lately.]

Chapter 41 Part 2

Rachel: Who was that?
Kevin:*smiling* The casting director. *Rachels eyes widened* I got the part!
Rachel:*smiles, squeals, hugs Kevin* That is so great, Kev!! I knew you would get it. *smiles and pulls back*
Nick: Congrats man.
Joe: Yeah, good job Kev.
Kevin: Thanks, but.
Rachel: What?
Kevin They mentioned something about my audition tape
Rachel: What?
Kevin: They really liked you Rachel. *she looks confused* They asked me to see if you would be willing to play the part of my younger sister. *Nick and Joe look surprised*
Rachel:*her jaw drops* Me? Be in a movie? *Kevin nods* But Im not an actress. At all.
Kevin: They thought you were really good. I think it was the fact that you were able to cry on cue that convinced them.
Rachel: But.
Nick: I think you should do it.
Rachel:*looks at him wide-eyed then to Joe*
Joe: I think you should too. Its a great opportunity.
Rachel:*sighs* Isnt the sister character a brunette? I WILL NOT dye my hair. I like my blonde hair. *she clutches it* And school? I have school 5 days a week.
Kevin:*laughs* How about we call them back together and discuss the details. Im sure they will figure something out.
Rachel: Fine.

*Kevin and Rachel go into the kitchen and call back the casting director and movie executives. They make it very clear that they really want Rachel to be in the movie. They said that since it is a supporting role, it would only take about a month to film her scenes as opposed to Kevins 2 months. Rachel would film two nights a week after school and on the weekends. They even said they would make her a wig so she didnt have to dye her hair. They decided that everything needed to be discussed with their parents and in person.
The day before Nick and Rachel went back to school, off of Christmas break, Rachel, her mom, Kevin, and Paul met with the movie executives to hash out the details. After everything was discussed and negotiated and Rachels mom, who is a lawyer, looked over them, Kevin, Rachel and her mom(since Rachel is a minor) signed contracts. One stipulation of the contract stated that Rachels involvement in the film would be kept secret from her classmates and the media until it came time to promote the release of the film. Although Rachel was allowed to tell Sarah, and her family, who were sworn to secrecy on the matter.*

[AN. So I originally had this huge fight between Rachel and Nick & Kevin planned for right after New Years, I even wrote it out. But then I realized that if I wanted this whole chapter and the movie thing to happen that I couldnt put the fight in because filming the movie and editing it would take time and I want the movie to be released around the time Rachel graduates in June. Gah, the tribulations of being a writer. Anyway, comment on the chapter and let me know what you think. If you want to see the fight chapter let me know and Ill send it to you in a private message. But make sure you know that the fight doesnt happen in the actual story, just in my head. It had a lot of angst between Rachel and Nick and Kevin, but some cute stuff with Joe and Rachel at the end. PS What to hear a story about me? Okay so on Friday I was shopping with my mom for my Grad party and we were at Target. All of a sudden the TV I was near started playing the Paranoid music video. I walked away and came back, near a different TV and it started playing Paranoid, I also saw a JONAS backpack there. And earlier I saw A JONAS tank top, watch and backpack at Kohl's. So when we are in Target my mom was like "I think those boys(the Jonas Brothers) are stalking you" and I said, not kidding, "*those* boys can stalk me anytime" and I totally meant it. Then later we were at Walgreens and I was looking through folders 'cause I was bored and I found 3 differen JONAS folders(Disney is really jumping on the JONAS merch bandwagon).
Anyway that was my totally boring and long story of how I was stalked by the Jonas Brothers yesterday(sort of).
Hope I entertained at least a litte.]
