Nate, I love your blog and articles, but I think you need to keep shopping if it's a hardcore/underground gym you're looking for. Mirrors, new equipment and bosu balls? Sorry to break it to you, but it's just a commercial gym with unpainted walls and a higher ceiling.
You'll know an actual underground gym when you see it. There will be weight plates and dumbbells on the floor in the corner, not on some fancy rack. There will be no mirrors, AC or shiny new machines.

Sorry. Doesn't look that hardcore. I mean, it looks a hell of a lot better than most commercial gyms since it has a full power rack, blast straps, and it's in an industrial park.
Truth be told, there doesn't need to be a lot of equipment in a TRUE gym to make it good. Look at Average Broz Gym, a Weightlifting Gym in Las Vegas. They have Oly Bars, Plates, a few Vulcan Squat Racks, and some boxes to do Jerks from.
What matters is the attitude of the people training there: they should be crazy!
