  • Moreover, it isn't being updated, so if I change thickness the value remains the old one. I have to insert it again. Anyway, Autodesk should have included this parameter. Is it included in Inventor 2010? I have 2009.

You can set it up as a template. Open your template and in doc settings, Drawing Tab. Under Properties in drawing, browse out to your sheet metal file and pull in the thickness property.

  • And, OH, yes, I've made it finally! Everything's fine until 0:55, but from there:

    1. insert a part into drawing

    2. select custom properties - model (instead of custom properties - drawing) and add that thickness text parameter into text field

    3. save title box

Now you can delete the inserted part and save drawing as a template. Starting from this template thickness is being updated.

  • It is awesome, the only kickback that model will be linked to drawing which means you cannot use it as a template. Leastways, I couldn't done it.
