I just bought a 48v battery for my cyclamatic (as Shown on this video ) I m trying to tune this think the battery is exactly as standard the only difference is the voltage , I dont think this bikes have a controller , so I should be fine.
.
I will fit it tomorrow or Monday which me luck as may damage the all think , I have no Idea what will happen once I fit the 48 v battery
I have a Cyclamatic too, i really like the bike, although i'd be slightly more critical of the forks than you, that said, its an easy thing to upgrade that would also allow you to head towards a front disc brake as a future upgrade.
The battery life is great, i get well over 20 miles, using pedal assist all the time. I can load two pannier full of shopping and still pass seriously quick rider on racing bikes up the hills. It makes them very upset for some reason though...
I would be interested now one year on your views on the bike and battery performance?

i bought this bike last september 2009 and it's been ok up until now.
Rides very well, and as long you maintain it, and keep it clean it will look and stay in perfect working order.
Sadly after almost a year, the battery keep cutting out - i used it about 3 times a week for about 20 miles.
The company i bought it from Sports HQ have come to collect the bike, and will wait and see the outcome.
Hopefully its something minor.
On the whole it's a good bike, and does stand out in a good way.
