Beer drinkin' football guys reviewing wine? I agree the Morgante is a great wine at a great value though. Too much sniffy sniff and way too much splashy splash. Those grapes lived and died for you, don't waste them! Can you say alcohol abuse?? But yet somehow I like this guy. I disagree that some of these wines won't lay down well for more years than the reviewer claims. Wine vacation? There is only one answer - Sicily. I have seen wines of mid to great quality selling for very cheap here.

BTW, two excellent Nero D'avola wines are Gladiator and Sogno Di Casanova.

I'm glad to see Nero D'avalo getting deserved attention. It is one of the most pleasant wines you can drink. It fits well with spicy foods, like Mexican or Thai. However, the whole spitting thing is a stupid tradition. Wine is meant to be drank, as one does with a meal, and that is the true taste taste. Swirling and spitting it out is both a waste and not indicative of its true flavor. It doesn't look elite but retarded. it's time for the silly tradition to become passe. Also, you talk to much.
