  • I was really surprised and enjoyed this performance!

  • @mairanya1 no i dont, thats weird

  • @mendezfilms Thanks for your lovely comment. That's quite a compliment.

  • @s140923 Mendesfilms has a perfect right to express their view, as do we all. Just because you have a preference for your 'own' doesn't justify your over-the-top criticisms, nor make you right.

And by-the-way, 'broadway' would have 100 times the budget to spend on its productions than we have over here. If you don't like ours, please feel free to stay in your own backyard. We won't miss you.

  • @mendezfilms are you insane? this is no where near as good as the broadway cast, I mean the singing is pretty good but it's so clean. rent is meant to be rough around the edges and the acting from callea in this is disgraceful. from what other clips ive seen from this production the whole thing seemed pretty amateur, wasn't it meant to be professional.

  • @Elphie31 I think his 'accent' is fine. Anyway, his singing makes up for any other part of his performance. And there seems to be plenty of singing.....

  • omg this is as exelent as the broadway cast!

  • @idol4eva The wonderful new system suggests you agree with Elphie. I'm pretty sure you don't.

  • Don't get me wrong, I think Anthony Callea has a great voice, but I kinda dislike his acting. I saw the Aussie production, hoping for something great, but I felt kinda let down by him in such a central role. His American accent is kinda shit in this recording. Especially when he says 'Old rock and roll posters hang on the wall, and they have Roger's picture advertising gigs at CBGs and the Pyramid Club.' It just sounds fake, very put on and unnatural. Sorry Anthony.

  • well said and i completly agree
