Greengoddess, what's with all the animosity? The TckTckTck campaign is much larger than promoting a specific implementation plan. Environmental Justice? sounds like a cause within a cause... Maybe you should take a look at the bigger picture. And by the way, with over a decade of experience in environmental sustainability, I think I've "read or looked more closely at what I'm doing" What are you doing?

Indeed, why wasn;t it mentioned overtly? rather a sham event. the big ngo's like oxfam and the sky1 people, nrdc etc etc are getting $ to shill for the corporate polluters who want the cap and trade waxman bill passed. This is very against the environment. Further, I understand also that people with autism and down's syndrome were compelled to participate in this activity, really unethical. Oppose the waxman bill.

exactly! No one mentioned the Waxman Markey bill. Except that they should have been denouncing it (and carbon trading) as the worldwide environmental justice movement has (see Durban, Anchorage and other declarations).

Geesh! How about solidarity w/the rest of the world instead of self-righteous attitude about having created a photo op (which will be used to create a sense of urgency to try to pass WaxmanMarkey disastrous bill).

This event was coordinated with events "worldwide" as a "wake up" call to world leaders meeting at the UN and Copenhagen that something must be done NOW! No one even mentioned the Waxman Bill! You should share your ideas of what YOU are doing to stop climate change!

wow, why did i waste my time looking at people who think that doing this has anything to do with protecting the climate? If anything, this will likely be used to support Waxman-Markey climate bill which would ensure that emissions are not reduced. Why don't activists read or look more closely at what they are doing?
