Anytime you see an oven or a grill on the side the road stop and check it out often people toss working temp devices like this some times they toss out blackened pans.

I've always wanted to build one of these! Please let us know how it works out with the interior painted. I'll bet that thing will work great in the summertime! Did the squash ever finish cooking?

LOL, I just seen your post. It does need to be black inside, will make all the difference in the world. He will be cooking up a storm in that oven!

The in side walls should be black and raise up the plate holder. the other box should be all black also

Thank you! I just coated the inside with cardboard and painted it black with BBQ high temp paint. I am so excited to roast some ribs! I'll post the new temp tomorrow when the sun comes up. Thanks again for the tip.
