Sorry, I didn't know how to spell her last name at the time, plus I knew that Derek Trucks had better name recognition, which - more hits. If viewers continue to gripe about such trivia rather than just enjoy, I'll just pull it.

Thanks to all who have viewed this video; I can't believe how many views it's had & all the comments left. Dog bless y'all, w/o Brother Duane there would have been no ABB or Derek Trucks to carry on his legacy. Argue amongst yourselves, but Duane "hung the moon".

Derek Trucks has, obviously - technically - taken slide guitar to a new/different level, but NO ONE has even come close to Duane's fire/passion with it, & I doubt that anyone ever will. If you're a player striving for Duane's tone, check out my "Skydog" amp, it's as close as you'll ever get to D.A.'s sound.

colourfaze86, you need to cash in your chips in & jump out of a window. Duane Allman HUNG THE MOON, the master of ALL slide players - which Derek T. would readily admit. Derek is more "technically skilled" than Duane, but he'd be pounding nails on a construction job (a job to be proud of, BTW), rather than making a great living playing guitar, without Duane laying the groundwork for electric slide guitar as a new instrument in the late-'60s-early '70s. Disparaging Skydog Allman makes u a loser!

I gotta say DTs fender sounds better to me[ even if there is a funky out of tune thing going on in this vid] I also just love DTs note choices which are not DAs note choices....DA was a very pentatonic player and DT finds those nuances outside of the 5 note limitation. Remember all human motives, schemes , plans, and or opinions are completely subjective ...so try not to hang your selves over it....

my comment will not be received well .I have played for 33 years,So I didnt just fall off the peach truck. Although I agree that DA was an excellent musician and a credit to guitar playing history.I have to say that DT has it all over DA and more. For one, hes still alive.its true that DT may not be what he is today without the DA influence but really DT took it to a level DA might.I say might have reached if he had not been killed or fallen into drug debauchery.Great vid thanks for posting
