D-A-N-G-E-R!!!!! ABSOLUTELY DO NOT USE BREAK CLEANER TO CLEAN PARTS BEFORE ARC WELDING!!!! IT PRODUCES PHOSGENE GAS AND THE AMOUNT ON THE HEAD OF A NEEDLE INHALED CAN KILL YOU!!!! Google "phosgene gas + arc welding". The heat coupled with ultra violet light on metal that was cleaned with brake cleaner will produce the deadly gas! This video gives out DEADLY info!!!!

If you want to clean the metal parts prior to welding, soak the parts in denatured alcohol and allow to air dry. That will help remove the brake or carb cleaner from the metal.

make sure you clean the differential thoroughly with highly flammable brake cleaner so that the not so flammable gear lube doesn't catch on fire.....

I only sugest welding these gears if doing a demolition durby. If ya still want to go this route then I recamend you to take to a welding shop. 4 drag racing their is lots of traction which would probally break the average weld, if ya spent the money on the engine then try to get atleast a cheep locker, easy instalation.
