@aussie56 I totally agree. People definitely pick up on accents after years. it's just natural and nothing wrong with that.

@AirSasquatch We want American players to be able to perform at the international level, and then we give them crap if they come back from playing abroad with a slight accent?
I'd prefer a great American player with a twinge of a British accent than a crappy American player with a Texas accent any day of the week.

@amhott07 When you speak about other players and teams you have to choose your words very carefully. He was taking due diligence to think about what he wanted to say before opening his mouth ... something that more young people should do. If it were ADD, he'd have responded with, "Sorry, what was the question?"

@Cox2564 Well he has been playing in England since 2003... Picking up the accent from where you've spent almost a third of your life isn't embarassing, it's to be expected.

there needs to be more soccer on tv! other than fsc. not everybody gets those channels. i hope espn starts showing more soccer
