EVE Online PvP training ends up bad

me and a friend were up for some PvP combat training but the result wasn't so good......

I'd say there were lots of important lessons, so this PvP training ended well to my eyes. Most important lesson: Warp out before you die. It's a very important thing to learn and get use to.

Was that an ECM burst? They just drop locks, they don't jam the target like a single target. If he weren't a newb he would have just relocked. Tracking disruptors are always better on solo frigs anyway.

Also...

- Please fit an AB

- Kill drones first

- That wasn't fit well for missions either

- and so on...

rifter might have done better tho im only basing this off my own experience fighting a rifter in a thorax with rails (yes i know blasters are ftw) the rifter gotinside me orbited about 500m but when your at speed it turns into about 1.300m to 2km anyway i had him webbed and scrammed and he had me he got me into half structure befor ei kileld him tho he had a t2 fitted tank on it i was surpised i later found he was a 14day pirate so when i see this merlin i kinda wonder why not orbit closer?

you my sir are an idiot, yes a t1 fitted rupture could probly kill an assult frig, not with out any problems if the fir was tracking disrupting, but that was a t1 frig, he says at the beginning of the vid it was a merlin.

LOL a T1 fit rupture will have no problem killing any assault frigate. Drones + Nuets + Webs = dead AF.

@J35u5M0d3 No we both were on the same corporation and just wanted to do some PvP exercise. This was his first PvP battle and he got scared because I reached his armor twice and I was disrupting his locking systems. Some people just get too excited with PvP :P

@DreadAle my guess would be it was some random guy that happen to see a merlin in system that he thought he could take. Both might have been running missions or what have you and opportunistically went after a "easy" kill.

@J35u5M0d3 to be fair that looked to be a shield boosting rupture, so that has to be a shit fit as well. He also appeared not to have an AB or an MWD.... on a rupture.
