Rajkumar Shamsher Singh - Shammi Kapoor is the only child of a wealthy man. He has been brought up as a spoiled brat. Now, he is an irresponsible, alcoholic, and a womanizing adult who wants everyone to bow down before him and his power. Once, a priest refuses to do so and challenges the prince to sacrifice all his palatial pleasures, and live the life of a simple and ordinary man for the next six months. Shamsher agrees for the same.
Shamsher goes to a nearby village to live an ordinary life. A blind woman there mistakes him for her long-lost son, Sajjan Singh. Shamsher takes advantage of the situation and starts residing along with the blind woman. Will it be so easy for a flamboyant person like Shamsher to live a life as a commoner?
