Scientology Hypocrisy

Scientology's "Youth for Human Rights" makes lofty claims about the preservation of human rights. However, all but one of the videos in the PSA series on the site are routinely VIOLATED by the "Church" of Scientology itself. This video shows the lies and then the truth behind it on the topic of slavery.

Exactly! However, it's important that people make *informed* decisions, would you agree? If someone choses CoS "treatment", they should know that more may be expected of them. Plus, th3ey should have the right to decline without undue pressure, and CoS regs are known for the BUY IT NOW approach. This, I feel, needs change. Doing so would present a better face to the world.

U are absolutely right! Its not the conflict between Scientology and Psychiatry that is the main thing. They have totally different perspective of life. Its up to each and one to find out whats works for them.

Of course CoS has done errors through the time, but in the field of mental treatment they are definately not alone. That is something you easily can check out if we should use critical sites as the only source for our opinions.

Did you know that you can agitate for change in psychiatry *outside* of the CCHR? It's true! If you think you see abuse, go ahead and make a watchdog group of your own and act! You don't have to add the poison of CoS to have a just cause. CoS makes people look loopy like Fred Phelps' "God Hates Fags" campaign. There's a difference between Psy and the Tech.. The tech is rigid and is supposed to neveer change. Psy can be evaluated and changed

I have no problems with a rough debate climate. I have a problem with people who picking on spelling and other things that has nothing to do with the subject. But i notice u drop that which is good. Well i have also heard ex Scientologists talking negative about Cos the same way I have heard people who talks negative about Psychiatry.

If i want to make up my own mind about this I dont think its enough to only listen to what other people say I need to look at it myself directly from the source.

Unfortunately I have worked in the Psychiatric field. U dont HAVE to demonize Psychiatry, their failure through the history is pure fact. U seems to be a frequent visitor of different sites so have a look yourself and make up ur own mind about how "safe" Psychiatry is. There are millions of people who have had their life destroyed because of Psychiatric treatment. I dont say that all Psychiatrists are evil i just say that their methods can be very devastating for a lot of people.

Have3 I been in Scintology? Well, I don't have to do heroin to know it's bad for me. All the LEGAL dox, affidavits under oath and declarations by ex-Sci's tell a sordid tale. Nothing I've said is "barking", they're facts. Period. Don't call them barking just because you don't like them. As for debate, you seem to be doing fine voicing your ideas, as am I. Healthy debate includes the right to rebuff the other side. Mgmt? Do some independent research. Hint: GOLD Int base.

Have you ever *personally* witnessed an ECT session? I *have*. CoS demonizes psychiatry. Why? So they can get anyone who may have spent $ on psy to spend $ with THEM. They want a lucrative monopoly. A psy session does NOT take "5mins", it takes more than that, multiple sessions. Comparing alternitives is GOOD, but you can't have an alternative if you are FORBIDDEN to make a choice. PS: I'm not an American.
