Hello,
I have just seen your video of a A-frame assist in mast raising and lowering for the coronado 25 sloop. Would you have any hi-res photos of how the bottom ends of the a frame attach to the cabin top/chainplates? Is this removable or do you keep it on the boat? A photo of the v-connection would also be helpful.

I reckon the shrouds got tighter as the mast was lowered and had to be pre-loosened and monitored along the way to prevent the mast step from getting broke.

Since the shrouds are in line with the mast, no tensioning or loosening was needed. If the uppers or lowers had been forward of the mast you would be correct.
