If Developers have their way, Scottsdale will be doomed

The upcoming Scottsdale election will be a referendum on Height and density. Don't let greedy developers ruin Scottsdale. Vote for candidates who will stop high density, urban development.

Higher density development and mass-transit implementation will actually solve many traffic issues, and allow for more choice in living conditions, not just single family homes or garden apartments, but also town homes, lofts, condos, etc. It is greedy developers (and use-based zoning that spatially separates uses) that are responsible for suburban sprawl and highly disconnected neighborhoods that require driving even to go to the neighborhood grocery.

No, we're "bogged down" by special interests.

There's a difference between "democracy" - which is the will of the larger community - and special interest representation, which is the will of those who want to leverage the government for money.

Suburban sprawl is the creation of the latter; mixed-use development is the creation of the former. The evidence of this is obvious.
