What to look for when shopping for a WASR10 AK47

Just a quick run down of what to look for when shopping for a WASR10. Quality control has improved some over the years, but still its good to check.

@DangerousDude2010 Yeah the quality on them has improved some over the years. I got this one as payment for a job I did for a gun shop so I had no choice and just lucked out. He needed a "gunsmith" which I am not, but I know my way around guns.. so I did a few jobs for him and I got this back in return.. lol

679? OUCH, yeah I would never pay that much for a WASR, out here in Nevada you can get them in the mid 300s. During the gun buying craze a few years ago they were that high.

Nice AK's! Thanks for the tips on what to look for. I held a WASR 10 not long ago at a Gun Store here and he was asking $679 for it. Years back I remember seeing them new for about $300. Anyway, the one I looked at had many marks and chips out of the furniture. I also did notice the front site was canted like you said.

@CPTNoahdog Not a problem, an AK is always a good idea, I have 3 ARs and love them, but would never part with my 2 AKs :) If you have any questions feel free to ask.. I'm not an AK expert (I know ARs a whole lot better lol), but have learned a lot in my years of shooting them and fixing them :) The WASR is a good choice for an entry level AK.
