Gears of War 2 TV Commercial (Rendezvous Version 2)

While the GoW 2 Rendezvous ad is great in it's own respect, I was hoping that the GoW 2 tv ad would be similar to it's Mad World predecessor, with slow moody music that gives the commercial a very dark and compelling atmosphere.

Anyway, I decided to mess around with the original video and came up with this.

Music is "Soldier's Poem" by Muse, edited (poorly) by me to fit the Rendezvous trailer.

it's weird actually...none of the Gears Game has any solid story, i mean there is an expansive backstory, which is never fully told, but really the dialogue is mostly "delta going there doing that roger delta blah "..and yet, their tv spots and trailers are made to give these games a poignancy that these games never had..why not a more bombastic epic heavy metal soundtrack or something..that Actually fits the tone of the game seriously Epic..i love these games but enough of these sad emo songs.

I think this would've been better than the actual Gears 2 commercial. The Gears 2 commercial tries to be emotional, but it fails... horribly. Something about this is oddly amusing.
