A sequence of 8 or so patterns on Korg ES-1 based largely on the intro. drums played by Mitch Mitchell from "Little Miss Lover", the bass line played by Charles Mingus from "Money Jungle", and piano / synthesizer solo played by John Cale and Brian Eno from "You Forgot To Answer."

Dig the break @ 2:35 - 2:42! ES-1 Roll function gives a gritty sound with Mitch Mitchell's heavy drums.

This sequence was used to remix "R.E.C. Room" by Inspectah Deck which you can view here:

  • nice that 1st loop is bugged out lol

  • @xM3F yeah it's crazy man. I was not sure how I'd use that record, but I just kept chopping it and trying to fit it. Turns out it makes a good chorus. The synth wail over the piano is just bananas.

  • Hey that was cool :)

It had me thinking of the old band "art of noise" (remember them?)

  • @econoroller Hey thanks so much for listening. I have not heard of Art of Noise but I just quickly did some reading on them and now I have to check it out as I'm a fan of Trevor Horn, esp. his work with Seal.

Oh by the way, heard some of your stuff just now excellent work! "Dont' Save Me", that was fantastic, I know someone who will prob. like this, so I'll be sharing. My jaw dropped when I heard the Parliament cover, it reminded me of Fishbon actually, one of my favs!

  • Love the money jungle record and love this beat. Id like to collaborate, message me if you are interested

  • Niice.

  • @HenryLewisRadd thank you for listening to my songs too :)

I'm very familiar with Trevor Horn and Seal (one of the best debut albums of that decade) You'll be pleasantly surprised by Art Of Noise, and you'll see they were indeed innovative and the kings of sampling before it was old hat. Right up there with Gary Numan if you ask me (but you din't ask me) HA HA HA HA
