DL has my admiration and respect for not forgetting that Teacher that got thru to him and told Him that he could be something more. Look where those Powerful Words of encouragment took him. Words have Power, take the high road when you speak to others as well as to yourself.
Black in America, you can be anything that you want to be, you have to prepare yourself.

@gmann1695 You just seem like a woman hater. My mum used smack me in the back of my head when I cried at 8 years old and tell me "Stop acting like a girl"! I was angry at my mum when she told me that but it made me a stronger man and guess what she did her best and I wouldn't trade her for the world. I have a problem with people believing they're "going" to be somebody. Every person "is" somebody. I actually think that you have to be taught that you're a "nobody" because you come in with a natural instinct of being, which causes one to naturally seek Self.
