  • @PeterPiper86 McCallum is lagitt. Its where I got my practice chanter.

  • not the worst or the best ive ever heard

  • they just need some tuning, not all of us have a 1000 plus bucks to spend on a set of top notch pipes, they sounded fine, just needed to be tuned a bit.

  • Sell these pipes and get a decent instrument from, let's say, McCallum. Pipes made in Pakistan, like the set you got here, definitely won't help you in the process of learning.

  • Congrats on the new pipes! Take it from someone who's been there and wishes he hadn't. Take this time to focus on two things: Blowing steady, and learning the fine art of tuning (which I'm still working on, I'll think I have them tuned unitl my pipe major comes over and adjusts them further, lol). I got into trying to play tunes way too early, and had to go back and cork off some drones and learn to blow steady. And the tuning bit just comes with time, stick with it man!
