Thanks for your comment. I actually recorded this series on VHS back in 1987. I also loved watching this as a kid and really enjoyed the theme music. But you're right, it's not available anywhere, but I think the VHS version is pretty good quality.

Hi there. Yes, that is Nicholas Lyndhurst from Only fools and Horses in 1975. Not sure about Dot from Eastenders. I think this is one of the best Prince and the Pauper versions. It has been remade so many times but I think this one's the best. I do have all 6 episodes I taped when it was on TV back in 1987 but have only uploaded one at this time. I will do the others when I get a chance, but I wasn't sure if there was much interest from people. I guess there is. Thanks for your comments.

Wow! Thank you for posting this. Heretofore it has been impossible to find! I saw this when I was a kid in the 70s on PBS as part of their "Once Upon A Classic" series. I've been looking for it for years.

Any chance of making me a DVD of this?

How on earth did you get your hands on this? I've been looking for this for many many years and haven't been able to find it anywhere. I have such pleasant memories of watching this as a child. Just hearing the opening them music brought back such happy memories.
