All I remember about this ride was it scared me as a kid. Till this day I don't remember why but I wish it was still there to find out. I also remember the Keystone Cops (which I loved) and a pirates ship ride. Wildwood was at it's peak back in the 80's and 90's. Now it's crap
My memory of the ride is firmly attached to its original location. Eating at Joe's Pizza (renamed Hot Spot) and seeing the Mine Ride over yonder with the Tip Top next to it and the Huss Ranger behind it while I chomped down on some pizza.... Frikken Awesome!!! My whole experience of being in WW as a kid was just to die for!
Was this footage taken during the fan farewell day? Had I known about it I would have been there.
I love this ride and all the others like it that Wildwood had. Esp Dracula's Castle. That town... the world is not the same without these rides. These things had a very special moody (and musty) atmosphere that was just priceless.
Thats awsome news, thanks for posting, I'm thrilled to hear that the nugget will still be around, with the destruction of The castle and the Raping of Dantes inferno, it's nice to know one of the good old dark rides is being saved.
