there's not one person besides amy and arthur that doesn't behave in some kind of unlikeable or disgusting way in this movie. it's really hard to watch.
-
Amy is the only decent person in her family.

Mr Dorrit behaves so ungratefully to Authur who has helped him a great deal. It is shameful and no excuses should bear this out. He also plays on Dorrits compassion to get her to do what he wants :-( He is utterly selfish!

i do think I am indeed in love with Mr Arthur Clennam

@FirstLifeFan very well said.

it´s true mr. dorritt behaves shaemfully, but i think it goes a little deeper than just being a rich asshole. let´s not forget he´s a man deeply traumatized by vegetating in a debtor´s prison for 25 years, always desperately trying to retain some dignity but beign totally dependent on other people´s kindness. *spoiler* as we see later, he never really manages to become free of the marshalsea. i hate how he treats amy, but i understand his problems and pity him, too.

Amy's dad is a total dick. >:(

I've always thought Mr Dorrit was a jackass because of the way he treated Amy, and all the airs he put on, but the way he's treating Arthur sinks him to a new low.
I'll be glad if he ends up piss poor again.

Mr. Clennam is a very resilient and patient man. If only more could be like him.
