Jono McCleery's song "Tomorrow" was recorded using the Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 and GarageBand. Jono's guitar was plugged directly into the 2i2, and a large diaphragm condenser microphone was used for his vocals. Scarlett Plug-in Suite was used to polish the mix.

You don't have to register the product to you it, but it is always advisable if you want to be let known if there are any software updates.

Can’t change the 2i2 sample rate. Just purchased. Contacted support. Nothing yet. I think audiodg.exe is in conflict. Any suggestions before I return it? Thanks! BTW – Nice Music

This seems to be a common issue with this model. Goolge - How to change the sample rate on a 2i2

how did you input the guitar cable into the mic input?

The two inputs on the Scarlett 2i2 are combo inputs, so you can plug either an male XLR connector or a jack connector into it's inputs.

Any condenser microphone should work fine with the 2i2.

The unit works fine on Windows7 and you will be able to record two mics simultaneously.

Just select your 2i2 as the input source and output source...there is a cd with the plugins, just install them, register, and done!.
