The process of ear stretching is one that many people are in the dark about, but this guide on how to stretch ear piercings aims to clear up any myths that you may have heard. Blue Banana employs a team of specialists that know all about ear stretching and which flesh tunnels, stretchers or expanders should be used. Throughout this video we'll explain how we go about ear stretching and what you should do if you want one.

When considering ear stretching, it is wise to choose a professional establishment, such as Blue Banana, where they will know all about ear stretching. If you want to find out more about how to stretch the ear, this video has all the information you need. From sterilising piercing equipment to what tools are used and how to insert flesh tunnels and stretchers, our experts have all the information you need. Filmed in our Plymouth store where ear stretching is a common procedure, we hope you learn a lot about piercings.

It is important that ear stretching is done slowly and in the correct manner; if you're not sure how to undertake ear stretching then it is always wise to seek advice. Inserting a flesh plug or tunnel should always be done slowly and gently. In this video you'll see that the flesh tunnel is lubricated before stretching the ear, while the O-rings are placed either side to keep it in place. One of the most important aspects of ear stretching is washing it regularly to ensure it does not get infected.

  • Uhm tapers aren't jewelry..

  • I wish you would have mentioned something about the acrylic taper NOT being the jewelery that the girl kept in her ear after a fresh stretch. There are a lot of people out there who think it's ok to stretch and keep acrylic tapers in their ear and if they heard it from a pro, it might deter them from doing it again.

  • Holy acrylic taper batman!

  • so even if i start to stretch my ears, i have to clean it with sea salt?

  • 'stretching ears is perfectly straightforward if it's done properly by a professional or someone who knows what they're doing'. so obviously not you then? jesus, i'm a teenage girl and i know how to stretch properly, who the hell taught you how to do this? google it, jesus.

  • No. Just no.

  • bvb <3

  • this is a shitty guide. I can't believe that after all that autoclave talk, you left an acrylic taper in her ear. I assume this is like the hot topic of america? or something along those shitty lines

  • A blowout is where the fistula is forcibly ejected from the piercing through forcing larger sizes through an ear that's not ready to be stretched. Blowouts have nothing to do with tears, and blowouts aren't collapsed ears at all. It's a prolapse of the fistula out of the lobe. There's at least 20 things wrong with the video going by APP guidelines. Congratulations, way to ruin your customers lobes. The only way to treat a blowout is with compression, not salt soaks.

  • @BlueBananaUK Acrylic is THE most reactive substance you can place in a piercing. It's dangerous for fresh stretches due to the amount of bacteria it can encourage. You go on about your autoclaves and ultrasonics, why not use autoclaved materials to stretch with? Like instead of forcing her lobe to 14mm, go to 13mm using a concave insertion taper! Seriously. Acrylic in fresh stretches is the worst thing you can possibly do.

  • Or, you know, you could stretch her ear properly to 13mm using tapered and autoclaved insertion pins. This is the worst stretching advice I've ever seen from a professional.

  • 0:05 seconds into the video and am already loving it, Black veil brides :)
