idk, im not sure about this but i'll try it, theoretically it should work because it would do the same effect of fixing wifi then to reflow your pcb in the oven or a hot glue gun, so i'm gonna try it, theoretically it should work and i hope it does! (fingers crossed :D )

Yes, Melting the glue holding the wifi chip will definately help it work. which will then lead to making the antenna lose and causing more problems. You Guarentee it huh? You will need to make 1/4 of a part of the antenna hot so that it will function properly i have not reearched it and tried it yet but that is the latest research information i have so far.
