Sure, it will always work when you point it at the Drivers side headlight where the laser head is located... any product would function perfectly that way!

Incorrect on both claims. It costs 350euro in Croatia, in the rest of the Europe it costs more. The fine also depends from the country. For Croatia it is 2000kn (270€), for Austria is 2000€ and I hope you don't get caught with it in France, cause it's possible that you stay without your car.
