Hey man. Good video, but you've done some of the song wrong. I've got the actual Red Hot Chili Peppers Blood Sugar Sex Magic tab book for this, and you're almost spot on, but a few bits are out.

Hey dude. Thanks for the lessons. Im ABSOLUTELY new to playing guitar but i LOVE RHCP and want to learn. I wish u would of backed up the cam a lil bit tho. Kinda wanted to see where you hit the strings when doin the second part(starts at the 4:45 mark)so which ones do you hit?hit em all?or start at the second string and only go down to the fifth?or all the way..top string to bottom? anyhow glad u posted this.Im progreesing slowly.

@evildeadboy, I think you forget a note when you play this part, listen carefully to the song again, its the same pattern over and over, sorry if i'm wrong!!! thanks mate!

5:45 ah btw the thickest string is the 6th string not the 1st string, just letting you know, but any who good lesson

Hey felix, that is definately the hardest part. I've got software that slows music down but keeps the same pitch so I can practise the solos slowly, it really helped. I could record it and send it as an mp3 file if you like. Not for about a week though, I'm moving house tomorrow and getting married near Aberdeen (about 130 miles from Edinburgh where I live) next week. Really, I'm not making this up. Message me personally if you want the mp3. :)

Really great videos. One thing that makes it much easier on the bridge: instead of playing the Aadd9 like 5-7-7-6-0-0, play it like an open chord 0-0-2-2-0-0. And the same thing with the G6 it would be 3-2-0-0-0-0.

Good point. You are right (and you even know the right names for the chords). I should have pointed out the easier way and with the open strings it would sound better on the acoustic, but in my defense, (warning, excuse alert) the song is supposed to be played on the electric which does sound better with fretted strings.
Thanks very much for the input, constructive critcism is always welcome.

and tunning?

My apologies.
Damn it, I always forget something.
Standard tuning thick to thin - EADGBE.
(that and calling the strings the wrong numbers (thanks tunadonkey)).
