This is my attempt at "Blood and Thunder" by Mastodon. Great, heavy song.

  • You play on this amp? CRATE Flexwave 212 ?? :)

  • Yes, that is the amp I am using for this and all of my videos.

  • hmm :) what do you think can i set that for heavy or trash metal?

  • Although I don't use it for trash metal, yes. It has alot of gain and can be tweaked from high midrange to deep treble and bass with the shape knob on the high gain channel. I highly recommend this amp.

  • Hey dude nice cover, is the Crate Flexwave really worth the money since im looking for a halfstack thats afforable and i play in a band and play shows as well, i play more extreme metal so do you think the amp would cut it for sound and power? thanks.

  • Yea it's a great amp for a great price. With the gain all the way up you can tweak the "shape" knob and go from a crunchy midrange to a metal, chunky sound. I don't know exactly how much gain you want to use, (it doesn't have as much gain as a Fender Metalhead, but I'm sure this will cover it.

And It is definitely loud enough. I keep it at about 2 and it will vibrate picks and stuff off the top of the amp.

    Cheers
