You ask why I refuse love, when it's given so double sided
You dance in a confused buzz, I see it and try to try it, myself
My steps are off beat, to you, but to me, I see
Thee elegance and peaceful rhythm my feet yearn to follow

So it's clear as snow to me, that we will never grow to be
lost at the sea, or blown with the wind the way they all pretend to enjoy it

But, I love you.
More then a friend you will always be.
But longing to be belonging to me, or me to you
is like sailing to a non-existent island with an armless crew

Cause although you bring me temporary happiness
And I occasionally indulge in exaggerated overrated infatuated sedated
premeditated sappiness.
I'm happy to say my life was changed by another the same,
yet just a little different then you.

And now the ominous view I've always felt for two, individuals
working towards nothing as one, is done.

So have fun with another one while I run.
And dance alone to the beat of my own drum.
And you keep your feet moving in "The Same Dance of the Dumb"
