Just another video with cesium in water.
This time I used a plastic bowl.
The piece jumps up and explodes on the floor.

If you like Cesium like I do, I have some interesting pictures on my wiki page you might like:

  • he spent all his money on the cesium

  • @NamesROverated Cesium can be combined with nitrogen to make optical glasses. Cesium salts are also used for strengthening various typed of glass. It can be used to boost the performance of metal oxides. So cesium does have a use, maybe to make people see better. But we drop it into water. xD Maybe everything's a waste from a view.

  • @nickcorn93 how is it a waste? there really isn't much you can do with it. And by your standards, the science department at schools waste this metal when they demonstrate this.

  • that wasnt cesium.

  • what a waste of a really expensive metal

  • my house had a blackout when this video ended

  • anyone tried c(a)esium deep underwater? i wonder how long it would continue to explode

  • There's no way this is cesium. That's about as strong as our class' potassium reaction. Plus, Cs is a bit expensive for a home video version.

  • for some reason im doubting thats cesium... potassium probably though...
