The irony in all of this is that Mexican Americans have been in the Southwest for the last 500 years. Mexican Americans built the railraods for people to come WEST during the 1850's and 1860's along side Chinese Americans. This is the WEST, not the SOUTH. This Arizona bill SB1070 reminds me of the Emancipation Proclamation of 1863 when newly freed slaves had to show documentation/proof they were free. Native Americans always say A NATION THAT DOES NOT KNOWN IT'S HISTORY HAS NO FUTURE.

@drankcityent Actually, the US has a population of 307 million, Mexico has a population of 112 million. "Latinos" only make up around 13-15% of the US population and that includes a LOT of Dominicans, Puerto Ricans, Cubans, El Salvadorians, Hondurans, Guatemalans, and technically Haitians too. Granted though, the majority of the US Latino population is Mexican.

I don't know for sure, but I'm guessing Mexicans only make the majority in parts of the SouthWestern states
