VICTORIA - Green Party Leader Elizabeth May is getting support right across the country, and a lot of it after being shut out of the televised leaders' debate - again.
The broadcast consortium running the debate told her she's not invited.
May is fighting back, in the media and possibly in court.
But it's in the court of public opinion where she seems to be winning.
Green Party supporters are angry with the broadcasters' decision protested at a television station in Ottawa staging a mock debate of their own.
May took a break from campaigning in the riding of Saanich Gulf Island's today to hold a media conference in Vancouver, blasting the consortium decision which she calls mysterious.
The party is applying pressure every chance it gets, even setting up a website to flood the broadcasters with email. Party organizers say they have received one hundred thousand responses in 24 hours.
/A\ News spoke to votes in Victoria, Nanaimo and Campbell River today and most believe May should be allowed to debate.
May says if the outcry from voters continues to build, the broadcasters will have no choice but to give in.
